His Eminence’s, the Archbishop Venedictos, message to the choir on the occasion of the Great and Holy Lent

My beloved children of the Lord,
Choir of the Holy Orthodox Church
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ
I am sending you this letter hoping that you will be well and in good health when it reaches you, and I pray for God to send you enough strength during the duration of this Holy and Great Lent, so that you can serve the throne of God with your chanting by presenting a living communion on the sacred altar.

I know that the coming period is a period of humility, devotion and repentance and during this period, the chanter gets tired a lot while making an effort to reach together for the joy of Resurrection, but this tiredness has blessings from God which everyone needs, so rejoice and be glad because great is your reward in heaven.

May God grant you success throughout your way.
